Conventional Blades have:
• A bulb or LED light source within the blade
• An electrical contact at the base of the blade block which
completes the circuit when attached to the handle
Conventional Handles have:
• An electrical contact at the top of the handle which completes the circuit
when attached to the blade
• Has a hook on bar and handle block dimensioned to prevent Green
System blades being fitted
Green System Fibre Optic Type Blades have:
• A fibre-optic type (either glass fibres or plastic)
light transmission bundle
• A green spot or marker on the blade designating that it is
Green System
Green System Handles have:
• A bulb/LED light source in the top centre of the handle
• A green band or marker around the top of the handle designating that it is
Green System
• Has a hook on bar and handle block dimensioned to prevent conventional
blades being fitted
Fitting Guide - Do you need Green System F/Optic type or Conventional bulb in blade type?
In order to determine which PROACT blades or handles will fit to your existing laryngoscopes, please examine them for the features below. All PROACT laryngoscopes
comply with ISO 7376:2009 and we would recommend the use of both PROACT handles and blades to ensure maximum compatibility and performance.
